Ambassadors Project SIRIN

Roann Leatz

Project SIRIN is a joint Ukrainian + Western volunteer network filling supply gaps for mission critical equipment to Ukrainian special ops. Since February 2002, they have supplied over $3MM USD of night vision and now provide needs assessment and advocacy for government requests in many different categories.

Your donations to SIRIN's collection will help sponsor Ukrainian veteran Dmytro Osmyslovskyi, a much beloved team leader of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) who was wounded in combat operations in Luhansk in 2021.

Meet Dmytro Osmyslovskyi

Dmytro Osmyslovskyi was born on October 1st, 1994. He began his military career as a platoon commander in the 93rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces where he quickly rose to the rank of company commander.

After successfully completing the Ukrainian Special Operation Forces’ extremely rigorous qualification course, an analogue to US Army’s Green Beret post selection 'Q Course', he became a team leader within the SSO in 2016 amidst the ongoing Russian incursions into Donbas and Luhansk.

After successfully completing the Ukrainian Special Operation Forces’ extremely rigorous qualification course, an analogue to US Army’s Green Beret post selection 'Q Course', he became a team leader for the SSO in 2016 amidst the ongoing Russian incursions into Donbas and Luhansk.

Dmytro served in such capacity for nearly 5 years, becoming highly regarded by his comrades and commanders alike. Then in July 2021, while performing combat operations on the Luhansk front, he was hit by an enemy anti-tank rocket and had to be hospitalized.

After receiving treatment and brief rehabilitation, Dmytro continued his service as a group commander, taking part in successful deployments to the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Donbas areas of operations after the full scale Russian invasion in 2022.

Today Dmytro is a proud advocate of Ukrainian special ops units throughout the entire Ukrainian Armed Forces.
