General David H. Petraeus, retired US Army officer, is a Partner at KKR and Chairman of the KKR Global Institute. He's a board member of Optiv and OneStream, and advises Sempra and Advanced Navigation. He's a co-author of "Conflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine" (October, 2023) with British historian Andrew Roberts.

With over 37 years in the military, Petraeus held six consecutive general officer commands, including leadership roles in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as Director of the CIA and graduated from the US Military Academy with distinction.

Petraeus is engaged in academia at Yale University, advises at the Woodrow Wilson Center, and is involved in various prestigious organizations. He's received numerous awards for his military and civilian contributions.
