Pavlo Savchenko was born on January 20, 1998 in Rokytne, Kyiv region. After successfully completing the 11th grade, he entered the Bila Tserkva Medical College, where he acquired the necessary knowledge and skills for the medical field.
After graduating from college, Pavlo went to military service, devoting his time and effort to the duties of a soldier. However, his military fate led him further - to the front line of the struggle for Ukraine's independence.
During the war, Pavlo was drafted into the guard company of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Due to his specialty, as a paramedic, he was appointed senior combat medic of the squadron. Later, he was transferred to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Chorni Zaporozhians, where he also held the position of senior combat medic of a motorized infantry battalion’s squadron.
Pavlo's place of service was Vugledar, where his battalion performed difficult tasks, keeping the road to the city safe. In the summer, when the hostilities became especially tense, Pavlo and his company took part in assaults. As the senior combat medic of the squadron, he participated in the evacuation and provision of medical assistance to wounded soldiers.
However, Pavlo's military path became a test. During the evacuation, he was injured by a drone attack that dropped a grenade. He gave himself first aid and independently crawled to his own positions, where he was evacuated.
After numerous operations, Pavlo ended up in rehabilitation in Lviv, where due to great strength of spirit and effort, he was able to put on a prosthesis. He intends to quickly complete rehabilitation and return to active life, to be useful to his state and support it in a difficult time.
For Pavlo, the loss of freedom and the symbol of honor that he contributed to military service were always more expensive than various awards. He remains a symbol of devotion to his country and indomitable will.
