The path of a medic for Olena began on the Maidan. Later, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the creation of the ATO, she was demobilized in 2016 and started working as a civilian nurse.
She lived a full life until 2022, when the Russians attacked Olena's family. When they came to her home and the home of her parents, relatives, and friends, she and her husband accepted the fight between Gostomel and Bucha but later got into occupation there.
After the deoccupation of the Kyiv region, they joined the TRO.
Olena's husband demined Bucha, Gostomel, while she had been volunteering as a medic, including the work in the morgue.
Later, she joined the unit of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) as part of the Armed Forces, then worked on the Kharkiv and Izyum directions and took part in the storming and deoccupation of Izyum. Then, the Donetsk region, the Bakhmut district, and the city of Soledar. There, in the heaviest battles, Olena's husband died. After the funeral, she resigned from the ranks of the Armed Forces, but she is still a volunteer and tries to bring benefits where they are most needed.
