📍 Born in Odesa, Ukraine
⚔️ Veteran of the Azov SSO, defender of Bakhmut
🏆 National champion in medieval combat
🛡️ Advocate for veterans' reintegration
Kostyantyn Vlaev, known as "Odesa", has spent years defending Ukraine. From his early involvement in the Maidan revolution to his service in the Azov SSO, he has always stood on the front lines.
In the battle for Bakhmut, he was severely injured while evacuating a wounded comrade. Despite multiple surgeries and a long recovery, he remains determined to support his fellow soldiers and return to duty.
In 2023, Kostyantyn traveled to the United States as part of the Borderlands golf rehabilitation program for Ukrainian veterans. This experience transformed his outlook on life.
🇺🇸 "Playing golf helped me find peace. Walking from hole to hole, enjoying the silence and nature, was a form of therapy. It also gave me an opportunity to meet veterans from a different culture and exchange experiences."
After returning to Ukraine, he became deeply involved in veteran support initiatives, helping soldiers transition to civilian life and secure employment. He also continued his passion for medieval combat, leading his team to second place in a national tournament.
